Victor Wooten Plays ‘Amazing Grace’ – I love the bass guitar and play it myself. To watch someone play something as mind blowingly good and innovative as this serves as good motivation.

Andy Mckee plays ‘Drifting’ – Okay, I realize probably everyone in the world has seen this, but that’s no reason not to watch it again. Rarely will I describe something as “beautiful” but this is one of those things.

I was flipping through channels and stumbled across CNN’s coverage of a speech Delaware Senator Joe Biden was giving regarding his status as Barack Obama’s running mate. He talked about Obama’s life leading up to the moment, how he’s an inspiration for everyone and all that happy horse shit. So he grew up poor and is now in a good position to be the leader of what is right now the most powerful nation in the world, Chinese domination pending. Who gives a shit? He got an education, did very well for himself in school, went to Harvard, insert more cliché inspirational bullshit that Americans lap up for no reason other than to feel better about their own sorry excuses for lives here, and could have made a ton of money on Wall Street according to Biden but instead did charity work in the asshole of the Midwest. Again, who cares? What’s he done recently?

I’ve been moving into my new apartment, so updating has been out of the question. My goal was to update at least once a week, so until I can find time to write the epilogue and other stories, I’ll share some other worthwhile videos with you.

• Bill Hicks and George Carlin are two of my favorite comedians. And I love to watch how comedians react to hecklers in the crowd, so this video of Hicks and this sound clip of Carlin are pretty good combinations of both.

In case you don’t know, Tucker Max is making a movie and I could not be more excited. Briefly, Tucker is a big inspiration for my writing. He’s also created a comedic genre, along with Maddox, with Dick Lit and blah blah blah everyone’s heard the story.

If the movie is anything like Tucker’s writing, it’ll be a hit. Tucker has done and is doing everything that I want to do: getting paid to simultaneously piss people off and make people laugh, having sex with lots of beautiful women and being a winner. What better way to live?
