With the stock market bracing to take the Bear Market’s big, furry cock in its collective ass, people have begun to turn to religion for solace. This is bullshit. If they were seeking solace in religion, fine. People cope in different ways: some people pray, some people weep, some people lock themselves in their rooms, swallow two cans of spray cheese and jerk off 3 times in a half hour. However you cope with potential devastation is fine with me, as long as your wash your hands afterward.

I shared some Cloud Cult with you all last night. I also emailed lyricist Craig Minowa about playing a show in Columbia, Missouri which, in case you hadn’t picked up, is where I go to school. Here’s what he had to say:

Normally I don’t espouse indie music based on the facts that the people who like it are arrogant taint sniffers and more often than not, they only like the music because it’s different. Just because something is different doesn’t make it good, morons.

There are news reports out that the daughter of Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin is pregnant. This is front page news at CNN.com, FOXNEWS.com, and MSNBC.com.

Why?

Why is the issue of Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy even an issue at all? What does it have to do with Palin’s ability (or inability) to serve as Vice President to John McCain if she is elected? So her daughter went out, banged some dude, got pregnant and is keeping the baby. Good work, Juno. But really, why should anyone give a shit about this? Her daughter is pregnant, she’s 17, who cares?
